We're going to start with last night's game between the Pistons and the Cavaliers. Cavaliers get the win. This game was decided with a 23-0 run to start the third quarter. Donovan Mitchell was great. He was awesome in that in that 23-0 run. I want to go through that full 23-0 run, but I just want to talk about the Donovan-Mitchell baskets here. James Hardin was really good during that run, too. Evan Mobley was really

important, as I'll get to here in a second, but I want to just focus on the Donovan-Mitchell basket. So the 230-0 run starts James Hardin Drive. Mitchell gets a slot cut from the opposite side. Nobody on the Pistons watching. First possession out of halftime. I don't know if they were still

Cleveland's best player on the slot on the other side. Easy cut to the basket. And that gets

Donald Mitchell going, who remember, did not play well in the first half. You do not want to let a guy

like that get some easy ones to get going.

And that has a snowball effect. And that's exactly what happens.

Next possession, Tobias Harris misses on one end. Dean Wade gets the rebound.

Gets it out to Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell looks off James Hardin coming down that left side of the floor.

Gets to this strong right-hand dribble and then gets the and one one over Kate Cunningham. I love when Donovan Mitchell looks off James Hardin, and this is not even like an anti-harden thing, but this is Donovan Mitchell's team. James Hardin just got here. I want to see Donovan Mitchell take control of things more often, and that's exactly what happened during this opening stretch of the third quarter when the Cavs really took control of this game. There was obviously a lot of James Hardin involved, right? He had that drive on that first position that we were just talking about. And he does help generate a lot of good looks, but I love to see Donovan Mitchell coming down this floor and say, look like, I'm not going to be deferential to the new guy here. I know I can get to my right hand. I know I can put my

shoulder into Cade's chest and that's exactly what, and I can get to the line and that's

exactly what happened. No flopping on that. I also love that. Next possession for the Cavs,

Evan Mowley drives. He kicks it out to Dean Wade. Cade and Duncan Robinson both rotate over

to Dean Wade in the corner.

James Hart, Wade kicks it to Hardin, swings it to Hardin on one side,

and then he swings it to Donovan Mitchell, who it's the wide open three.

Just another example of miscommunication defensively by Detroit.

Very uncharacteristic, but again, they came out of the third quarter.

A little lackadaisical, and it really did cost them. Next possession, we're talking about,

Dean Wade's screen forces Duncan Robinson to switch onto Donovan Mitchell. Another miscommunication

there. It looks like Duncan is trying to trap Donovan Mitchell up high on the floor, but then
