The roster moves the Raiders make on Tuesday, open up the door for a player to return to the active roster.

necessarily the most pleasant subjects, but really good feedback because, well, we always love to hear from Raider. We'll do that coming up in segment number three. Segment number two, NFL Insider, Ari Mayrov, 33.com. He was actually on my radio show last week and talked about the Raiders and what he's hearing

from the national point of view and gave us just a couple minutes.

Well, on his NFL spotlight show, he actually went into great detail, really went over

great detail about just about every team across the league, did a fantastic job.

But deep, deep detail when it came to the Raiders, what he's expecting between John Spitech, head coach Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly, and others, right? What kind of dynamic he thinks is going to happen with this team now and moving forward into the offseason. So we'll let you hear from him. I'll give you my thoughts on that. We'll do that. Segment number two, here in segment number one, news and notes of the day. And it really has to do with opening up roster spots. There's been some Raider Nation that's been calling and saying, hey, I want to see what Kenny Pickett is going to do? And then there's other saying, hey, what about Aden O'Connell? Is there a chance that he's going to return sooner rather than later since his 21-day practice window has been open? and the Raiders have to make a decision sooner rather than later.

And I said, I believe, on Monday's show that, you know, at some point, they're going to have to make a decision this week. And we'd actually get a chance to talk to head coach Pete Carroll about that after the game. In matter of fact, we did that on Tuesday when we met with him. And he said that he's been practicing. He actually went up against some of the, you know, the ones. You know, he's been practicing in full. And so it kind of let us know that there's thoughts of getting him back onto that active roster so they have to clear some space. Well, on Tuesday, lo and behold, after we talked to Coach Carroll, the Raiders made some space. They waived safety Chris Smith the second. That's from the 53-man roster. And then they released tackle Leroy Watson IV from the practice squad. So what does that mean? What does it have to do with Aiden O'Connell, you're asking? Well, waving Chris Smith opens up a roster spot on the 53-man roster for Aiden to return. And again, they have to make that decision this week. It sounds like especially since he's practicing against the ones at times, that they want to do that. Releasing Watson from the practice squad clears up that practice squad spot so Chris Smith the second can return and land on the practice squad. So you're not losing him completely as long as he clears waivers. And I don't think there's anything that Chris Smith has done so far in his NFL career

to make me think that a team is going to pick him up off waivers.

But of course, he's a young guy in the league, so he still has to go through the proper process.

But more likely than not, you'll see coming up sometime, maybe later on today,

maybe early on Thursday, you'll see that Chris Smith has been added back

to the Raiders practice squad. And I do believe probably later on today, matter of fact,

maybe while you're listening to us, maybe the news has already popped out that Aiden O'Connell

is back on the 53-man roster. But I do believe that that's going to happen. Now, what means, what that really

means to me is, especially when Pete Carroll says that, you know, he's had some runs with the ones

against the runs, tells me really what they believe about Kenny Pickett, that they don't really
