Yesterday we opened up the show talking about the domination that Janice had over the Knicks

and how sloppy and bad of a game Carl Anthony Towns had in Milwaukee.

And one of the things that we had brought up ever since he said it after the Knicks were

eliminated from the postseason, into the off season, into this regular season,

was that Rick Petino talked about the thing that would unlock Carl Anthony Towns.

The one thing that he thought would make him better,

and that was getting in better shape.

He talked about getting his body fat percentage down

and needing to be in better physical condition

to deal with the rigors of the NBA postseason.

So fast forward to this morning when Stefan Bondi of the New York Post

who covers basketball both the Knicks and the Nets locally here writes about what is maybe maybe challenging the NICS early on in this season with Mike Brown's offense.

And what does he come up with, Boomer?

Well, he comes up with that there are a number of players that are out of shape.

And obviously, he was also talking in his article that players can get themselves in better shape as the season moves on.

But it's obvious and it's apparent that Carl Anthony Towns does not fit in this offense the way that the offense wants to be run because he's supposed to be the first guy down the court and to get under the basket as the center on the team.

And he talks about conditioning. And he says that he and O.G. Ananovi, which was a little shocking to me,

because O.G. to me, looks like he is in shape. But maybe he's not. Maybe, maybe there are issues there.

And maybe Stefan Bondi is getting this information from somebody within the next.

But it's something that, you know, I don't know how many times I got to say it,

that, you know, these players are making so much money.

And, you know, it is vital that they take care of their bodies and that they put themselves in the best situation
