Well, we had this big question looming this week, which is whether we were going to see the first criminal case ever brought against the US president.

Will Donald Trump be arrested? He's facing a possible indictment over the alleged hush money payments to the adult film star.

Naomi Daniels, though, it is appearing less likely that will happen any time this week, but still we're all wondering.

And as usual, reactions to this have really split along party lines. But what is kind of surprising is the bipartisan agreement over the severity of the accusations here.

According to this new economist, Yu-Gov-Pol 73% of Republicans agree that it is a crime for a political candidate to pay someone to keep quiet about potentially damning information.

But when Donald Trump was referenced as the specific candidate in question, only 15% of Republicans saw this as very serious.

Yet here we have Donald Trump facing several different investigations. You have the Department of Justice, Special Counsel looking into three different investigations.

One, his role in January 6th, two, the classified documents, three, obstruction related to those classified documents.

That case does not seem to be on the precipice of moving anytime really soon. You have the Georgia State Election Law case.

That is very close to being done. We know that the jury, the grand jury for a woman, of course, going on little media, two or slash circus last month.

And I think all lawyers who've looked at all of these agree that that is also the strongest case.

There's some interesting separation of powers, you know, 30,000 foot issues that would be fun to talk about on, you know, a legal podcast.

But nevertheless, certainly the facts and the laws they are, that's the strongest case. Then you have this New York case.

And I find it deeply concerning the reaction that I've seen from a lot of people this week.

Now, I want to be clear, I'm not actually beefing with the people who believe that this case has a lot of merit.
