i view one of the teams here as a complete fraud and it kills me because i love the roster

but i get so tired of hearing people gloss over whistling by the graveyard as i call it the

quarterback position. The San Francisco 49ers to me are fraudulent. You cannot win a super bowl

with Brock Purdy. It's this perfect you're bringing this up. The day we're taping this Peter

King has like up his deal with quotes from Kyle Shanahan who specifically cites Trent Delfer

and Brad Johnson as examples of how you can win with this level of quarterback. The problem

like is those are outliers. Complete outliers and i would add outliers that are over 20 years ago

during a time in the NFL that was not some offensive renaissance. Do you know the past attempts

in football today have gone up each of the last eight years. You can't play defense the way

you used to. You can't play the sport the way you used to. Trent Delfer, right? Like using him

as like using Jim McMahon. You had the 85 bears in the 2000 Ravens as the two greatest defenses

in the history of the sport. So to me that's irrelevant. Correct. Now the question, do they have

that level of defense in San Francisco and even if they do the games different? No, they're a nice

defense or a good defense. But I you can't play the game now if this run if this were 2000.

Oh, I think it'd be different. But let's let's look at the night. Here's my issue.

It's not just that I don't like the quarterback. You know it kills me with all this. Last year

people glossed over the fact this dude was Mr. Irrelevant. He was the last pick in the drift

for a reason. Brock Perty's not that good. And while I think you can shepherd that player

through a playoff run like Jeff Hostettler in 90 when Phil Sims got hurt like Trent Delfer in 2000

like Brad Johnson. You can shepherd them. But when the next year comes around and by the way

this kid didn't have an off season blowing out as UCL. Look at that quarterback. It has begged
