Is judgment immediately after death? Yes, the Bible says it's appointed to man for man to die once,

then comes judgment. So the idea that when you die, you don't get judged immediately, that you

float off in some place, you go to purgatory, you wait until some people believe that when

you die, you basically wait. It's called like soul sleep until the final judgment or until people get cast in the lake of fire.

That is not true.

The Bible makes it clear there is a current hell, which is called Hades.

And there is a current heaven.

Eventually, in the book of Revelation, it says that there will be a new heaven and a new earth

so there's a temporary heaven let's just say it that way there will be an eternal heaven which is

the new jerusalem at the final judgment people will get taken out of hades which is the current

hell and the bible says hades will get thrown into the lake of. The lake of fire is the eternal forever at the end of judgment, the end of the tribulation

when Christ returns, final judgment.

That's going to be the lake of fire.

But there's a current hell right now, and it's temporary, and best way to say it, and there's

a current heaven, which is temporary because the bible says in

revelation there's going to be a new heaven and new earth but right now when people die they appear

before god for judgment if you are a believer then you will have a works judgment you'll be judged based on

your works you're an unbeliever your name is not found in the lamb's book of life then you will be
