Hey guys, my name's Mike Winger. Welcome to the Tuesday live stream,

where we deal with issues of theology and apologetics. That is what Christians believe and why we believe it. My goal is to help you know how to think biblically about everything and today we are thinking

biblically about something really specific. I often hear people say things like all sin is really the same there's no such thing as one sin

that's worse than another sin this sort of concept I hear a lot and I think it's

actually not true now that's not to say it doesn't have a element of truth, like a kernel of truth in it, but it's

to say it's just not true. It's not accurate. Like it's too clumsy to just say this. We need more details. So here's what we're going to do today.

I'm going to first go through the Bible passages that actually deal with this topic,

and I'm going to establish with you

biblically is all sin the same in what sense could you say it is and what sense

is it not the same and then after I'm done going through all the biblical passages I want to talk about why I think it's dangerous

When people get this issue wrong I mean I think it's not dangerous like they'll lose their salvation dangerous

dangerous like they make bad life decisions and they do

dangerous things in their lives because they don't understand this concept

about sin. So we're going to try to think clearly about the issue and we will of

course deal with the passage in James that everyone's thinking about where they go,

ha, that proves all sin is the same, Mike. We'll deal with that one as well, but we're going

to plot through it with some methodically. We're going to just work through it

methodically. And let going to just work through it methodically and let me see real
