I figured we kicked the show off this year with Brad Fanshaugh, my co-host from Shift and

steer, bring him on to Carcast.

How you doing, man?

I'm doing well. I mean, other than the massive fires and the hecticness of everything happening in L.A. right now.

You mean, L.A. literally melting?

Yes. Yeah, it's bad. It's tough to say how it's being reported across the country because typically they

kind of exaggerate quite a bit.

Like, sure, you'll see some reporters going, the wind is blowing me over.

I can't stand here.

It's like it's so strong. And then, you know, another

reporter staying out there with no mask or whatever going, yeah, the wind's in a lull right now.

So you're always going to get some misinformation. But yeah, the fires are not that far from

where I am, just a few miles away. But I'm in a marina, so I'm pretty

much surrounded by water. And it would be tough to get, those fires, for them to get from, like,

Pacific Palisades through Santa Monica to where I am would be quite devastating for Santa Monica.

But, you know, most of where it's all been at this point has been in areas that have a lot of trees and stuff, Santa Monica canyons and stuff.

So we're getting a lot of the smoke.
