for another edition of the Michigan Basketball Insider, always a treat when I have a chance to sit down with my big fella who roamed the middle for the maize and blue in the early 80s. He was a first-round

draft pick in the NBA, has been one of the best color commentators and analysts in all of basketball,

college or pro, since hanging his sneakers up doing this thing over at Fox Sports, Detroit,

with the Pistons as well. My good friend, Tim McCormick, Tim, how are you?

I'm doing great, Sam. This is our time of year, isn't it? It is, man. It is. And, you know, in the time since we did the last one, because we did two in the same week, we had Hunter Dickinson on, that was a, it was a great one.

And then there was the tragedy that took place at Michigan State that kind of had us hit the pause button a bit.

And it was one of those, it was one of the few times where you could really see fans, players, everyone involved,

kind of get that there's something bigger than basketball. That was the vibe in the gym that

day where, you know, there was cheering for Michigan State in the pregame.

There was Spartan strong throughout where people were focused on the bigger picture.

And that is, this is a tragedy that touches us all, especially in this state.
