Welcome back to Buckeye Talk for another Monday Madness. I'm Nathan Bayer from Cleveland.com, along with Doug Lamer. Are you getting this to you a little bit later on Monday? We apologize for that. The travel weekends, Doug's browns responsibilities sometimes makes Sundays difficult for us. We're going to try to get these to you as fast as we can on Monday mornings when we can't get them to you overnight. Doug was my daughter. My daughter had a play this weekend, and then we had to host the cast party on Sunday night, too. So I plus it was homecoming this week.

So I was out taking homecoming pictures, and it's part of why I didn't go to Rutgers. Very busy weekend in the Lamer's family household, which I also apologize for. Thanks for everybody bearing with us. What is what in what does a cast party in 2021 in tail for a high school play? Little Caesars and Fuzball. You in all out little Caesars at least. They're 14. They don't know what good pizza is.

So yeah, no, it's just hang out. All just all kids want is somewhere to hang out, right? And talk. So that's all we provided and chips. They want chips.

That sounds like fun. Eternal. It's eternal, Nathan. I mean, what what were you doing at high school parties in a beanfield, Illinois in 1991, right? You're eating chips and eating pizza?

Yeah, no, that's pretty much it. Like some, yeah, there's there's like, you know, nachos or pizza or something, somebody boils a crock, popful hot dogs or whatever it is. Yeah, it's pretty basic stuff. We weren't that picky. We didn't discriminate that much. We didn't have high flute and tastes.

No, no, so everyone everyone's happy with them.

So how state won 52 to 13 at Rutgers. Did not really necessarily feel like worth the trip for those who made it.

Other than time you get to spend the New York and things like that, but the game itself was a bit of a let down except for how state obviously and it.

It was just another step forward for them in some important ways. We want to kind of look back at the game. We both had a chance to rewatch some things.

Doug, you've been going through and sort of charting CJ Stroud week to week and taking note of each pass it and what you're seeing kind of within the numbers there.

What did you see and obviously I thought that was almost the most and some ways it was like this was like the week where I felt like I needed to rewatch the game the least to know how well I thought he played.

I thought it was just it passed the eye test in a way that the first three games he played didn't.

But I think when you go back and look at the game, you do see some some subtle differences, maybe not so several differences that that maybe explain why he had more success this week.

So I don't mean to be a bummer. It's it's really interesting.

And maybe I'm just more aware of it because I am not the only person in the world, but I think I'm the I don't think there's a journalist who covers the browns and the buckais to the extent that I do that I am very invested in both.

So I'm naturally drawn to comparisons about the two.

They're in very similar places again, because like Baker may feel had a terrible terrible game for the browns on Sunday and he heard his non throwing shoulder like a week ago, not as throwing shoulder.

So it's different, but it's a lot like man, he was terrible.

How much is the shoulder affecting him and it's going to be this thing again and it was a whole big thing where like the brown defense played much better after not playing well early in the air. It's just a lot of similar things.

So let me let me before I go into my CJ thing.
