Welcome to the P.H.L.Y. Sixers podcast here on a Thursday as we get closer to the start of the NBA season and the 76th season cannot wait now less than a

week away from the start of the campaign for the hometown team and we'll see as we discuss

some things with the entire NBA where the 76ers players do fall in our ranking as we

discuss the entire league with some of the best players and, of course,

where the Sixers fall there.

Derek Botner, Kyle Newbeckham, Devon, Givis, Brianna here, all of you.

As we said in the chat, and we got a lot to get to, but we do have to also update you on

Jared McCain from last night, a scary fall for him late in the game as he was just out there with the guys

closing things out against the Brooklyn Nets, challenging some things on a defensive end.

Was it the defensive?

Off his rebound.

Off his own miss, I think, right?

Was it his own miss?

Okay.

I think it was driving, missed it, went up for the rebound and came down.

And right down the end where you guys were sitting. So just to get your thoughts on that after, of course, we get an update on on Jeremy Kane's status. Yeah, I mean, I think sitting there and you saw, and it's right in front of us, but we frequently have a not great view in part because there's like we're low enough not the humble brag but our seats are low enough where like you can't see there's actual obstruction from the court side people you can't see people uh over people in front of you but just watching on the replay the first thing that struck me was oh his head snapped back like that did it hit the floor is that where the problem is but then you saw him react saw him react and he's grabbing in his chest and he can't breathe. You're like, well, is there something wrong with the lung? So I think the concussion is sort of where my head first went. And then based on his reaction, something with the lung is where I went after that. Obviously, we were told last night that he was getting checked for a concussion,

and then he ended up going to the hospital.

He was discharged from the hospital this morning and returned home.
