The NBA season is here.

Our Denver Nuggets started their season in Ball Arena versus the Hunters of Thunder.

This is what I'm going to call them this season.

It looked like it might be a fun game for about six minutes of the first quarter,

but then the Nuggets started looking a tad slower and less interested in this game than the biggest favorite in the West this season. Coach Michael Malone went to the

well-known substitution pattern that was so good the last couple of seasons, subbing out Jamal

for Westbrook at the seven-minute mark in the first, and then bringing him back to play next to Russ.

Also having Murray staggering with the four real guys off the bench meant playing really small against a very athletic opponent.

Not great, Bob.

Then in the second half, we saw minutes with Yokic playing together with Russ,

Peyton and Gordon, and that kind of spacing hurt my soul. Christian Brown was good in his debut

with the starting lineup, but I must mention the spacing is significantly worse compared to last

seasons with the starters.
