And so I think the logic in what Minnesota is doing here

is sort of like where Kansas City was in 2013.

Andy Reed got hired there.

The draft had guys like Gino Smith and E.J. Manual in it.

They decided, let's just get competent.

Let's get good at the position.

They traded for Alex Smith.

Alex Smith gave them five years.

That bought them time to build a team

for a young quarterback and wait for the right

young quarterback.

And it wound up ending up,

that story wound up ending with the chiefs trading up to go and get

Patrick Mahal. So I think that's Minnesota's strategy right now is Kirk cousins is

good for right now and he'll buy us time to build this thing up.

We can be good with him at quarterback
