But we have exciting things to talk about. Dutch gambling. That's not actually what that story is about. It's about the Dutch consumer affairs commission is looking into whether

the loot boxes are gambling, which is something that we should take pretty seriously. A plants versus zombies controversy.

There's also a ton of black Friday deals that we're going to go over as well. The first thing that I wanted to talk about though. Dutch gambling.

What's the I don't like the name. It's Dutch. Dutch gambling update. Did we ever have a first story?

Well that's why I thought I would put it in the show because maybe Ryan didn't want to talk about it but I think it's really interesting.

So basically what happened is and they confirmed it was as a result of out of front two.

Is that the Dutch consumer affairs commission and slash government decided to look into whether loot boxes are gambling and the way

they refer to it is as random loot economy. So the idea that you are paying for something with an actual currency and then

getting a random thing is that gambling and like in my head yes it is but basically this is like just a kind of weird gray area

in a series of weird gray areas in the games industry that the commission is taking super seriously and they just had a

TV update yesterday and the concern is that the focus on minors slash the participation of children in gambling activities

and illegal or unrestricted gambling in general is like a bad practice. The reason I think this is interesting is that

a governing body is looking into this and if the Dutch consumer affairs decide that this should be illegal like what does it mean for everyone else.

Well and this could also this could very easily spread throughout the entire EU which means that it could very easily be

the US and the rest of the world can be impacted by it.
