Hello, everybody. Welcome to three-point perspective. The podcast about illustration, how to do it, how to make a living at it, and how to make an impact in the world with your art. I'm Jake Parker.

I'm Lee White. And I'm Will Terry, and all three of us are professional illustrators. We've all illustrated for all the major publications in the

business. We've all published somewhere around 75 children's books. And we've all taught

illustration at university art programs. Yep. Each week we come at you guys with different

listener questions. We love it when you guys write in, give us the questions. Sometimes we agree.

Sometimes we argue. But each time you're going to learn something brand spanking new.

Great. Okay, Lee, you were going to tell us something. I have a tangent for my special audience,

my audience of one, the guy that loves my my tangent stories. You gotta leave that guy alone.

We were talking about the Old West, just a second to go on why people had beards.

And we were, our little premise was that they have beards and hats, worn real low.

So they could play poker and not give their hands away.

So that got us on the topic of the Old West.

The sole reason for a hat and a beard.

It's poker.

It's for second meal when you're riding your horse

later on,

you can,

like the soup out of the beard.

Okay,

here's my tangent observation on the Old West

that I noticed when watching Netflix.

The Old West is so bizarre because it's so primitive.
