finally land on whoever their new coach is going to be. I mean, we already got two firings.

I was listening to the Yahoo College Football podcast with Andy Staples and Stephen Godfried and

Ross Delinger. And they were floating out the idea that like last year was not viewed as a crazy hiring cycle for a variety of

reasons. I think the last two years are largely viewed as that. And the reason why, the reason why is

because college athletic departments didn't really know how things were going to go with house.

Right. Like how much money are we going to have? How do we allot these things? What you saw

over the last couple of years were some restructuring. It was like, hey, you know what? Maybe we don't need to pay you

all this money and this money can redirect to where it really needs to go. Right. But this offseason

or hell, this, I mean, we're not even midseason. We're a couple weeks into the season. We already

have two firings at Virginia Tech and at UCLA.

My favorite part of this is we have entered that period of time once every five years where

UCLA pretends they have some sort of football stadium. I know. I know. You want to sell me on

basketball. Cool. With football, you're always told these things about, well, there's the recruiting

and this and that. I'm like, guys, stop. I mean, look, it's similar. Now, obviously lower level because we're talking the American versus the Big Ten, but it's very similar to Charlotte, right? Like, coaches are sold the idea of, look, Charlotte is this growing area for high school football and people are moving here and you're right in the middle of the city, blah, blah, blah. And then you get there and like nobody in any level of power at UNC Charlotte once, let alone cares about the football team. Yeah. Like, it's, it's very similar at UCLA. Now, we're going to talk to Joel Anderson from the Ringer. He does the Pressbox podcast and the Ringer Tailgate as well.
