0:52.0	you, Tom, do you remember the first Bible you ever got?
0:55.6	Actually, I do, yes.
0:57.9	And I think I wrote about this in the preface to the big book on Paul, because it was
1:02.5	Coronation Day, June the 2nd, 1953.
1:07.5	And I was, how old was I, four and a half, and I just learned to read, and my parents gave me
1:15.6	and my sister, who's year older than me, each a coronation Bible, a little chunky,
1:21.2	king James version of the Bible with a crown on the front.
1:30.4	And I remember my sister and me staring at this extraordinary object and thinking, now what do we do? And I remember we went through and sat on the
1:35.7	bedroom floor and looked through and found the shortest book that we could, which was the
1:40.4	letter to Philemon. We actually read Philemon to one another on the morning of the coronation,
1:45.7	which may sound weird.
1:47.1	So, yeah, I grew up with the King James,
1:49.1	and then I graduated onto the RSV in my teens and went forward from there.
