Welcome back to the show. Today I brought my friend Dr. Crystal Zuniga off to the show to discuss

the rising cancer rates among young people. If you're not familiar, early in 2024, there was a lot

of headlines that were picked up by major media outlets, highlighting rising cancer rates

among young

individuals among specific types of cancer.

This has caused a lot of people to have anxiety around this topic to want more clarification,

and I brought Dr. Zuniga on today to discuss what's actually going on in terms of cancer

rates, cancer trends, and what might be causing some of these increased rates

among certain age groups for certain cancers. So we discuss this topic in depth. It is a really good

episode. And if you're not familiar with Dr. Zuniga, I brought her on to the podcast before.

She is a cancer nutrition specialist and a professor at the University of Texas.

She has her PhD in nutrition as well.

She's also a registered dietitian.

So she teaches students and is also a practicing dietitian working with clients going

to cancer treatment.
