Hi, Tim. You're in North London, I think. I am. I'm still in Manchester.

Are you still there? I'm still, well, I'm actually visiting friends. Because of my days as

a Man United supporter, I made lots of acquaintances and friends up here. But, yeah,

let's not mention football, though. While I was a member of the Consider Party, one of the essay

questions I always used to ask myself was, who's in more trouble, my party or my team. But,

but yeah. And Ian Martin, welcome in. You're still in Washington, I think.

I am. Yeah, I'm in Washington where politics is in this very strange limbo, the shutdown where

essentially Congress, Congress isn't working and they're behind the scenes trying to figure out

how to get the American government open. So Washington's actually, well, the weather's

been amazing, but it's actually really quite quiet. And yeah, but back in London for next week.

Wonderful. Well, we look forward to seeing you. We don't have any Miranda today. But what we're going to do is we're going to have a quick look at the Tory party conference,

and then we're going to have a general review of the party conference season as a whole.

And yes, for those of you in Scotland, we are aware that the SMP haven't yet met,

but all the UK-wide parties have now convened,

and so we thought we'd take a bird's eye view, whether anything

much has changed through all these gatherings.

Ian, you've been following Kemmy Badenock's speech, I presume, even from Washington.

What's your overall impression?

It seems to have been pretty well received overall.

Yeah, well, absolutely, from a distance, it has been, yeah, it's a speech that's clearly gone down well.
