In the late fall, early winter of 1981, the day before Thanksgiving, is when this incident took

place. Deer season had opened and I

looked forward to deer hunting at every opportunity. I was out of school for the

Thanksgiving break and putting together plans to be able to hunt as much as possible.

This was a daunting task as I was too young to drive and had to get with some friends in order to go.
