Stu's out of the country on a family vacation. So that means I get to have a guest

host this week. We have a good one, someone I've known for almost as long as I've known Stu. And

like Stu, it's actually another former ESPN magazine intern who has gone on to do big things in

the sports writer world. That person went to actually an even better journalism school than Stu did.

He is Seth Wickersham, a long time, ESPN writer,

who's upcoming book American Kings, a biography of the quarterback, comes out in September.

We'll talk to Seth about the Mannings and Arch who are chronicled in the book, and Seth has

unique insight into them. He's covered Arch's uncles and his dad and done a lot of reporting

on that, and much more. And we'll get into that along with one of the more interesting, intriguing

storylines of this season in college football

Hey, thanks, man. How are you? I'm doing great. So before we get into the QBs and Arch and

Belichick, I do have a story I want to kind of introduce and it's like. Yeah, here we go.

So Seth, as I mentioned, you were a magazine intern, and like many interns,

you were very eager and ambitious. And I think something for people to know about kind of the

magazine world especially is good ideas are essentially collateral. And if you have them and can

generate them, you're an asset and will rise up.

And pitching, as I came to learn, I think also was a much coveted skill.
