I had the opportunity to speak with Jack Kelly, author of the new book Valcor, the 1776 campaign that saved the cause of liberty.

Kelly's earlier works include Band of Giants, which is a more general look at the

He's also written an interesting book on the history of gunpowder. His latest work, Valcourt, just released in April 2021.

So what drew you to the topic of Valcourt to begin with? I know you've written on a wide

variety of things. What stood out about Valcourt? A number of years ago I wrote a book called

Man of Giants and I tried to give an overview of the Revolutionary War and sort of an intro to the war

focusing on different personalities.
