I had the opportunity to speak with Larry Kidder following the release of his new book,

Revolutionary Princeton 1774 to 1783.

The biography of an American town in the heart of a civil war.

His name, as it appears on the book, is William L. Kidder, but everyone knows him as Larry. Larry Kidder spent 40 years as a high school teacher,

including 32 years at the Huns School of Princeton. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. In addition to teaching,

Mr. Kidder has served as a long-time volunteer at the Howe Living History Farm in Hopewell, New Jersey.

He is also involved in a variety of other volunteer activities involving the American

Revolution.

He sits on the board of the Princeton Battlefield Society and on the board of 10 Crucial

days.org.

His most recent book about Princeton during the Revolutionary War is only one of many books he has written about New Jersey during

this era.
