Today I'm pleased to present a special episode,

a discussion with author Michael C. Harris.

He wrote a book about the Battle of Brandywine several years ago

and has recently just published what is essentially a sequel taking up the story with the end of Brandywine.

His new book is entitled, German Town, a military history of the Battle for Philadelphia, October 4th, 1777.

Mr. Harris is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington and the American Military

University.

He has worked for the National Park Service in Fredericksburg, Virginia,

Fort Mott State Park in New Jersey,

and the

museum commission at Brandywine Battlefield.

In addition to writing, Mr. Harris currently teaches in the Philadelphia area

where he lives with his family.

I was pleased to speak with Mr Harris via a video conference

for a discussion about his new book on Germantown and about the Philadelphia campaign more generally.
