She will be joining us for this episode, but before I get into our conversation with

April, I wanted to talk about Ice Cube and the recent controversy starring around

his engagement of the Trump administration and his contract with Black America and

Trump's Platinum Plan or whatever you call it.

In case you missed it, we learned last week that Ice Cube had engaged with both presidential

campaigns regarding his contract with black America.

The Biden campaign met with him and suggested that they

further engage after the campaign. The Trump campaign down in the polls everywhere

and desperate not to look as

obviously racist as they are saw an opportunity to engage a notable black celebrity

around their so-called platinum plan which is basically a set of things they could have done for black people since they won in 2016,

but they haven't and want you to believe they will do if they're reelected.

What has ensued since we heard that Cube has been working with senior Trump

advisors on the Platinum plan was commentators across Black America criticizing

Cube for allowing himself to be a prop for an administration that they believe

is using him to signal to gullible black men and white Trump supporters that they're not as

racist as their rhetoric or supporters would suggest.

And Cube has responded by taking Democrats and black voters to task as pawns whose

votes are taken for granted and extended to a party that doesn't prioritize black issues.
