Summary

A bent bell. A bike tossed six feet into a field. A rush of leads that cancel each other out: a bloody handkerchief, conflicting train sightings, a black Morris, a red-and-gray van. In this episode, we trace April Fabb’s 1969 disappearance minute-by-minute and ask the question residents of Norfolk, England have asked for decades: what happened in the nine minute window during which April disappeared? I always say that one of the most important things to do in our coverage each week is the task of

0:06.8

turning a case file back into a person where the focus should be. This week, it hit me, especially

0:16.2

close to home. I kept thinking about how much time I spent as a child on a bike,

0:22.9

hugging the shoulder of the big highway that ran past our trailer, then ducking off

0:27.7

onto those skinny back roads where you could hear every bird in every car long before you

0:58.7

That's a question that we'll grapple with in our case this week as well.

So justice and closure can be brought to these families.

With each case, we encourage you to continue in the conversation on our Facebook page, Coffee and Cases podcast, because, as we all know, conversation helps to keep the missing person in the

2:11.3

public consciousness, helping keep their memories alive. So sit back, sip your coffee, and listen to

2:17.4

what's brewing this week.

2:19.4

In our case this week, we are headed across the pond. We're going to North Norfolk in England.

2:27.7

Pictures small villages, hedgerows, and ribbons in lanes. We're going to the home of the Fab family,
