Quantum Week, I'm Matt.

Quantum Week is a show in which Chris and I leap into a

random week of a random year. We talk about movies and music headlines, our personal stories. And we are

in the beginning of April, 1987 with Lethal Weapon and Tonight Tonight by Genesis.

Yes. Before we do that, last episode, we, on the Patreon episode,

we talked about Matt, Matt's Fear Flying,

and I said it was silly and doesn't exist.

So I like to amend those remarks a little bit here.

I don't think it was right for me to say it doesn't exist.

Because if rational fear exists,

then by theory,

a rational fear should exist, right?

Like if one exists, the other one exists, so I, I, you know,

so when we do personal stories, they are, we don't tell each other what's going to happen ahead of time, so you're kind of getting our first reaction to them for good or for bad.

And the more I thought about it, I was like, eh, that's, that's, this is probably a, a more

complex way of looking at it. I always think of like the, um, the BET example. You know, you always

hear like kind of hack comedians in the 80s be like, like BET, you know, why isn't there a

white entertainment network? Right. It's like, well, because there's a lot of reasons why there isn't one. You know, society has closed the door on a lot of African American entertainers and things

like that. Like there's, you know, the minority, there's a lot of reasons why. If you

take a little deeper look at it, have some more time to think about it. So I, in my life,

I'm not a big, uh, I don't acknowledge fear.
