And I'm Jake Sherman out this morning. Joe Biden's VP selection committee will include Chris Dodd, Eric Garcetti, Lisa Blunt Rochester of Michigan, and former Biden counsel, Cynthia Hogan.

At a fundraiser Wednesday, Biden said he hopes to be all done with vetting by July, per

Wall Street Journal reporter Ken Thomas, who was the pooler at the event.

Here's a question worth pondering.

Given how off everyone was in 2016 with their presidential predictions, do you feel at all

comfortable making any predictions

right now when the president's poll numbers have not cratered in the midst of the biggest

national crisis in a century? Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate, is relegated to his basement.

Most Democrats believe they will not have a traditional convention, which could starve his campaign

of the post-convention bump.

Biden, meanwhile, is under increasing pressure to answer a sexual assault allegation from 30 years ago

when he was a senator. The Washington Post's editorial board is calling on him to provide some answers.

Our colleague, Mark Caputo, writes that the Tara Reid allegations have rattled Biden's VP search,

and the New York Times has a look at mounting democratic frustration as Biden has remained silent.

Trump is already starting to say Biden has a condition. He did so in his interview with Reuters

yesterday. Fundraising is going to slump because of the economic slowdown. Election turnout is

likely to be tamped down by the coronavirus crisis.

It's possible that the pandemic will be raging in the fall in the lead-up to the election.

CNN is reporting that the president erupted at his campaign manager Brad Parzcal

last week over his sliding poll numbers.
