So yeah, big news story with the Baltimore riots gives people a chance on social media to say things that could be really horribly offensive.

But the way I loved, Sherry handled something.

And what this guy said was just way out of bounds. And he's a guy who was a friend of yours, right? He is. We used to work together. And he's a believer in Jesus? He is. Okay. And Sherry's response was three letters. And it was wow. And I think that's so great. I do. I thought that was a great response. I did it on purpose because I thought, if you just see me say wow, because if I engage the argument, then we're going to go back and forth back. Yeah, right, right. I'm just saying, wow, to hopefully give you pause and to look at what you just said. Yeah. And that's not normally what I do, but I have been growing. I have to say that.

And the fact that you didn't get angry about it.

Here's what the thing, there was such a perfect response, and you could tell from the follow-up discussion that ensued, where it's backpedaling.

Right.

Because he realized his sister is actually being graceful with him by saying, wow, believe it or not, in that context,

it really was. And what I love about that is the fact that you didn't get angry,

helped you to have good judgment, still respond. You feel like you needed to, you still can.

Yeah, because it's a friend, and I'm not sure if you know how it's sounding or how you're looking.

But I love what you say is that you have to take offense. You actually do have to take it. And in the moment, you can decide not to take it. Not going to. Yeah. I'm still going to say this because I want my friend to understand. Don't come across that way. You don't want to do that. Right. And I just thought that was really, really, really brilliant.

Some people are going to be able to handle this.

Some people aren't.

We're just being really honest here about something that happened. And if I would have seen this, I would have thought, and in fact, Sherry told me what was said on Facebook by a friend of hers, who's a believer, if I saw that, it'd be like, man, dude, racist, wow.

And I don't,

I don't normally, I'm not usually thinking along those lines. As a white guy, it's not something that's, it's top of mind for me. And yet, I loved how Sherry responded to it, which was with Grace. And better yet, with the Baltimore riots, Sherry's response.

said the answer is lifting jesus up through racial reconciliation being modeled in the church.
