Here are your Washington headlines for the day. Number one, Congress is back. What to expect.

Number one, Washington is going to snap back into action this morning. Congress returns after a

two-week recess. That is a long time for members of Congress to be back in their districts.

The Senate could take up nominations for the Federal Reserve and FTC with partisan clashes in both,

while the White House and party leaders scrambled to figure out what to do with COVID funding and Ukraine aid.

Anthony Blinken and Lloyd Austin went to Kiev over the weekend to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky,

the president of Ukraine, and Blin will appear before the House and Senate

Foreign Relations panels this week. There's a fight over Title 42, that immigration provision

that allowed the U.S. to control or to limit immigration during the pandemic. Democrats have

been suggesting many Democrats from across the ideological spectrum have been

questioning whether the Biden administration should rescind Title 42 and they're going to have to

make a decision quite soon. The January 6th committee's investigation into the insurrection
