Ben Ovalin has a story on the front fold of the sports page of the Boston Globe talking about the NFL schedule process, how they come up with the NFL schedule, and it says it's a mathematical

monster, really a complex problem, but it's one without one specific right answer, and that's the

NFL senior director of broadcasting. He also goes on to say, it's a, of billions of stars in the sky,

we probably at least explored a million of them,

and 52,000 schedules were absolutely playable.

Then it's just a matter of finding the one.
