Every kid, every kid wants to be a hero at some level.

I mean, we have all these superhero movies and stuff, but even as a kid, obviously, you do the Superman cape and the underreuse and all that sort of stuff we want to do that there

were these guys a few months ago remember this and on the train in France that tackled the

dude that had the automatic weapon as a terrorist and then next thing you know they're being

hailed by the president of

France the great picture of them because they're still wearing like their vacation clothes and

they're having these medals pinned on them in this fancy ceremony been there with president

Obama and he's recognizing them and then they're at a lakers game getting a standing ovation

great point a guy named a friend of my name Jeff manion made, he said, like, why aren't there

more heroes like that? The reason is that you don't get the opportunity. A lot of us would like,

believe it or not, the opportunity to do that, but we don't get it. You could wait on every train

from now until, you know, the rest of your

life, and you don't get that chance. But that's not what actually God has called us to, not in

that sense. He's called us to faithfulness. I mean, obviously, it's awesome that they did that.

But there's something less spectacular, perhaps, that God wants you to to do and it's right in front of you and it's every day and it's over and over and over repeated. And what Jeff was saying is for a lot of

people, like if you're a parent with little kids, it's dinner, bath, bedtime, dinner, bath,

bedtime, dinner, bath, bedtime, dinner, bath. And the whole time you might be thinking,

why can't I do something significant? This is it. This is it. You're doing it.

This is it. If you think your life can get kind of boring because you're doing the same thing over and over,

that's okay. It really is. We live in a highlight culture and we love the top 10 plays of the week.
