Good evening everybody. This is Radio Free Mormon. It's actually afternoon.

Especially if you're in Utah, it has now struck 12 the first session of April 2024 general conference is concluded just moments ago and I've

been watching carefully making copious notes to give you a recap here in Radio Free Mormons general conference post-mortem.

I'll be doing this at the end of each conference. Hopefully I can recap what happened in each two hour session of general conference in under 30 minutes.

Let's get to what happened.

There were a number of interesting things that did happen, of course, a lot of boring things

because, hey, it's General Conference.

But it was a Saturday morning session of General Conference, as I say, today is April 6,

2024.

So far, nobody has mentioned that this is the date the church was organized and nobody's mentioned

that this was a date that Jesus was born but

we'll see what the future holds. This is Radio Free Mormon episode 332, the choir, the Tabernacle

Choir at Temple Square saying,

come we that love the Lord.

President Oaks was conducting.

President Nelson, as he led us to anticipate

by his announcement, I think it was yesterday or the day before that the leaders, in other words himself, he's 99, are getting old. And so there may be some, you know, changes made and how things are done.

And President Nelson is not present at the conference.

Now, this is unusual for him, but of course, that's the way it always used to be when I was growing up in the church.
