And I'm Jake Sherman. The question we are hearing all around town is what promises does Donald Trump try to keep with the upcoming must-pass government funding bill?

If you haven't been keeping track or somehow forgot, the government shuts down in 10 days.

The question is,

what will conservatives try to extract for Trump wanting to spend more money? Is it border wall

funding, stripping money from sanctuary cities to funding Planned Parenthood? Or will it be none

of the above? And the government funding bill just passes with Democrats, pushing Trump farther to the

left. Insiders tell us to watch for the House Freedom Caucus to hold

Republicans' feet to the fire on border funding. One idea? Spend a bunch of money on technology for

monitoring the border. It'll keep people happy and avoid a shutdown. It's not just conservatives

worth threatening Trump's agenda. Trump's own decision not to release his taxes is proving a mighty distraction on tax reform.

More than a dozen Republican lawmakers are now calling for him to release his taxes.

So far, there's been no movement by the president.

One thing to watch Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin finally copped to what we've been saying for weeks.

Tax reform will not be completed by August.

One bright spot for Trump, the White House Easter egg roll was a success.

There were lots of skeptics about the White House's ability to pull off the annual event.

But despite a few hiccups, smaller crowds and rain, Trump proceeded over an event that several attendees told us was great.

The big thing everyone in town is watching today is what happens

with the Georgia special election to replace HHS secretary Tom Price. No doubt, we all will make

much more out of it than it actually deserves. Right now, it is the microcosm playing out the larger

narrative in both parties.
