city of Cornwall looking up at the dazzling facade of the cathedral. It really is a mighty building

with dozens of exquisitely carved figures. I urge you to come here and sit in the main

square and maybe have a coffee or indeed sit down for lunch and that's exactly what I have been doing at

da Pietro. A lovely restaurant, indeed somebody next to me started playing some quite loud music,

so forgive that. So it is the most wonderful venue. But right now I can see the lady the

matri-D, I imagine, as it were, accosting travellers, trying to lure them in It didn't need any luring for me, I just sat down.

So I want to tell you how the price of a meal can be quite a lot more than you think it's going to be.

This is not the cheapest restaurant by any means in Colmower.

There's some really good value places, but not with such

a splendid view. A side salad, a really quite small side salad consisting only of lettuce,

tomato, carrot, is going to cost you 10 euros, except it's actually not. It's going to cost you 10 euros except it's actually not it's going to

cost you more than that if there's a couple of you that's some 20 euros you

might expect the bill to be but it won't be because there is a cover charge

yes the bread that they bring you isn't included that's an extra three

euros per person.

And then tap water is not a thing in Italy.

You always have to order bottled water. And I think, yes, that's a very regrettable thing

from an environmental point of view, since a jug and water on the table seems perfectly normal.

But that is the kind of convention that that's what you do.

Occasionally you could ask for tap water occasionally you might get it.

But mostly it's assumed that you will be drinking their water. and that was sort of plumped on the table
