On Wednesday, investigators found items of interest while executing a search warrant at

the home of Paul Flores, a person of interest in the case of missing college student Kristen

Smart.

In a press release, the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office stated that the search was intended

on retrieving specific items of evidence at the LA County home of Paul Flores.

Paul Flores was the last known person to see Smart alive.

Kristen Smart, a 19-year-old freshman at the California Polytechnic Institute in San

Luis Obispo, disappeared on May 25th, 1996.

She was last seen around 2am near her dorm after walking back from a frapp party in the

company of several people, including Paul Flores.

Paul Flores, a student at the same college, was the last person to be seen in her company

that night.

Two days later, Kristen was reported missing by her roommate.
