On Tuesday morning, law enforcement officers shot and killed a man who fatally stabbed

three women at a Tennessee truck stop.

W-A-T-E News 3 reports that the suspect was identified as 33-year-old Idris Abdus Salam,

a truck driver from North Carolina.

The incident took place at a pilot travel center on Strawberry Plains Pike in Knoxville just

before 7am in the morning.

The travel center offers amenities such as food and bathrooms to truck drivers.

The three deceased victims, 57-year-old Joyce Weyley, 51-year-old Patricia Denise Nibble,

and 41-year-old Nettie Spencer, were employees of the truck stop.

The fourth victim, whose name has not been released, was a customer.
