Eric's not here with me, but he and I talked earlier this afternoon and felt like

this was an important thing to do, to get this up on the feed, and to announce formally

after much thought, consideration, and time that we are actually going to be putting the show on

hiatus for now.

It doesn't mean it's gone forever.

I don't know what it means long term, but I'm not quite ready to say oh it's dead forever because I never say

that unless I'm sure of it I've only been sure of it a couple of times in my gosh how many

years I've been doing this now?

My long podcasting career, near 10 years of official podcasting.

More like 1213, if you count all the stuff I did before, but we came to the conclusion that it was time.

We've been doing the show since early 09 and have been doing it really since day one of the

App Stores launch. have been doing it really since day one of the app stores launch and it's gotten to the

point where it feels like an entire show dedicated to it is not as fun as it used to be. I think it's it's not so much that we don't still

love iOS, we don't love our apps, we don't love all things Apple, because we do. But it's not the

kind of landscape it used to be. Do you remember the early days when it was like, hey, look, a very unique game or app or productivity tool that came out this week?

And it wasn't billions of apps yet.

And it was still kind of this great word of mouth kind of thing.
