I'm excited to be back with you today for the daily drive with Lake Point Church

podcast.

We're talking about Jesus' masterclass in prayer that he taught in Luke chapter 11.

All of us want to get better at prayer.

I don't know a Christian that's not trying to figure

out how to connect with God on a deeper level. And in Luke chapter 11, Jesus teaches us how.

The first thing you taught us was the content of our prayer, which is what is called the Lord's

prayer. And today we're going to talk about something that I think is honestly,

when you read the words of Jesus, a little bit shocking. This is the attitude to our prayer.

So in Luke chapter 11, verses 5 through 8, this is what Jesus says. Then Jesus said to them,

suppose you have a friend and you go to him at midnight and you say,

friend, lend me three loaves of bread, a friend of mine on a journey has come to me and have no

food to offer him. And suppose the one inside answers, don't bother me, the door's already locked,

and my children and I are in bed. I can't get up and give you anything. I tell you,

even though he won't get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your,
