It reads like something out of a spy novel, a phone that lets

people eavesdrop, a huge company behind the privacy invasion, and an enterprising teenager

who tracks down the clues to the mystery. Oh yeah, and the resourceful mom who helps that

teenager crack the case. That's pretty much the story of an Apple

FaceTime glitch that became public late last month. iPhone users discovered that you could call

someone on FaceTime and, with a few simple swipes, listen to them talking before they answered

the phone. And without their knowledge, you know, eavesdropping? Well, to make matters

more nightmarish if someone called you on FaceTime and you turned down the volume or declined the call,

FaceTime would then not only share your audio with the caller, but show them video from your iPhone or

Mac camera as well, again, without you having any idea that anyone was watching you.
