and girls, they just head to Cupertino to find out what's new. It's the place where you hear

things like this. Today is all about software. We're going to get started with iOS. You guessed it,

iOS 12. Now, I don't know about you, but when I hear about a new operating system, part of me is like, oh, no, it's going to happen again.

We're going to install a new OS, and it's just not going to work.

Well, as it turns out, Apple's iOS 12.

It's almost exactly like iOS 11. Well, kind of, you'll see in this podcast, but it's also way faster.

You'll see that apps launch up to 40% faster. The keyboard can come up up to 50% faster, and you can slide to take a photo at up to 70% faster.

Yes, 70% faster. Yes, 70% faster.

That's what we want.

I know.

We get all these faster and new things, but we still type slow as molasses.

All right, iOS 12 comes loaded with a lot of fun, useful, good things and even some wacky technology.

So we're introducing a new app, and it's called Measure.

It makes it really easy to measure objects, detect rectangles and get their dimensions,

measure lines along surfaces by just tapping and dragging out a line like that.

Yep, there it goes, the old-school tape measure.
