We all desire to walk in intimacy with the Holy Spirit, to surrender to him.

And so as we look at the power and the presence and the nature of the Holy Spirit

in both the Old and the New Testament, we're going to receive from these revelations life transforming truths.

This will cause you to appreciate the Holy Spirit with a greater devotion.

This will show you how you can surrender to the Holy Spirit in greater measures.

Because often we go against his nature or we rebel against his way of thinking because

we're not familiar with how he thinks. We're not familiar with his nature. So by familiarizing

ourselves with the precious Holy Spirit, we position ourselves to surrender to him in greater

depths. So the Holy Spirit didn't just show up in the

book of Acts chapter 2. That's often what Christians believe. They think that the Holy Spirit was

dormant. He stood silent. He waited on the sidelines until Acts chapter 2 on the day of Pentecost, when

the power of the Holy Spirit came like a mighty rushing wind, resting upon the people as tongues of fire.

But the work of the Holy Spirit didn't just begin in Acts chapter 2.

My friend, the work of the Holy Spirit has been active since the beginning.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God god and the word was god and the holy spirit

was with them also check this out genesis chapter one verse two the earth was formless and empty

and darkness covered the deep waters and the spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

So here we see already, you can't even get to the second verse of the Bible without seeing the

power of the Holy Spirit at work. The Holy Spirit was present at the dawn of creation, hovering
