Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

In the Creed we say every Sunday, we profess that we believe in one holy Catholic and

Apostolic church as though one of the four most

important things we believe about the church is that the apostles are central to

it and this is no accident. The New Testament

makes it clear that our church is totally dependent on the Apostles. St. Paul says that the household of God is built upon the

Apostles with Jesus as the Cornerstone and the book of revelation describes the apostles as the 12

stones on which the kingdom of God is founded. It's very simple. We as Catholics rely on the apostles and not just on the

men who died a long time ago, but also on their successors, the Pope and the bishops, who ensure that we are still

part of that original community that formed around Jesus.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallow would be your name.

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us a stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,

Blessed art thou among women.

Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus.
