College football kicks off in a few weeks, two weeks, less than two weeks if you're a Georgia Tech or Florida State fan, but understand around the campus at Pate State, we're buzzing. And it's not because students are coming back because, truth be told, this is a fictitious university. But we got gas station recruiting wars coming to a head this week. We've got a tour name to unveil. We've got so much that we've waited months and months and months for. And here we go. And then in the midst of all of it, we've got things like the AP poll dropping. This is the late kick extra podcast. It is Tuesday, August 13th, the year of our Lord, 2024. I'm Josh Pate. This thing is mailbag only. It's podcast only. We don't put the whole

thing on YouTube. So appreciate you guys making this the number one college football pod in the

world, but also the YouTube channel. Man, it's the number one college football show in digital

Yes, the JP poll came out two weeks ago.

Yes, the AP is asleep at the wheel.

And yes, we may have killed the buzz a little bit for the AP poll's

release, but I've got no problem reacting to the AP poll. So producer Jesse tells me,

because I didn't really check it myself, producer Jesse tells me one through five, hey, what do you

know? Very similar to the JP poll. Now, that's Georgia, Ohio,

State, Oregon, Texas, and Alabama, for those of you that aren't aware. I saw a bunch of people,

including our good, close personal acquaintance, Brandon Walker, shouting from the mountaintops
