Swini. I'm the editor-in-chief of ArrowheadPride.com joined once again by my esteem deputy editor,

John Dixon. John, I got to spoil one of the segments we're going to talk about for

the audience. Did you just tell me off air that you were in high school when SNL started?

Do you remember the beginning of Saturday Night Live? I do. I do. I remember watching the first

episode of Saturday Night Live, which I have recently rewatched and discovered that the fact

that sometimes Saturday Night Live is not funny all the way through the show is not something

that has started has happened recently. That actually was the case right from the beginning

of the series that there were some sketches that were good and there were some that were bad.

We're going to have a brief discussion on the Saturday Night Live that Travis Kelsey was on

this past week. But I have to ask now that we're starting to talk about the original episode one.

Was there a big build up to this show? Do you remember the build up to it? Or did you just

remember taking it in? I know it's a long time ago. No, I don't recall that there was a huge build up

to it. I mean, there was enough of it that people my age were interested, you know, knew about it

and tuned in. I think it actually had pretty good numbers right from the from the beginning.

But it took a while for it to become a real sensation. I think that would be fair to say.

But even in that first episode, you can tell that you could tell that it was going some place

that nobody had ever been before. That first episode includes Andy Kaufman doing his mighty mouse

with the record player, you know, here I come to save the day. And even when I watched it recently,

oh my god, it was hilarious. And at the time when you were watching it, you're like, what is this?

But it was funny. Always impressive with the TV shows and the songs that can stand the test of time.

The fact that you're still laughing here in 2022 just goes into the genius. I'm sure there are some
