And once again by my esteemed deputy editor, John Dixon, John, how does it feel now that we've gotten through the NFL draft?

Really good. I mean, it's good to have the effort behind us. You know, it takes a while to get ramped up forward and to do it and all that and get past it.

I must say, I didn't really mind not being there. A lot of people asked me if I was going and I said,

well, no, you know, I've got responsibilities that keep me at my desk during the draft.

But I have to say that on Sunday afternoon, when I saw pictures from there, where it wasn't stupidly crowded on the North lawn of the World of One Memorial,

I thought, and it was a beautiful day, I thought, yeah, I wouldn't mind being down there this afternoon, where it's not crazy, you know, and I could actually be part of it.

Yeah, I miss that.

It did look like on Thursday, it looked like a college fraternity house party where nobody can move.

Yeah, Friday opened up a little bit and then Saturday, it felt like it was wide open.

I don't think a ton of people were going down for Saturday. I think that's to be expected.

That is the way it goes for a lot of the drafts is that once Saturday hits, there's not a ton on stage.

There's no players left. They're just announcing it.

I think if you have a family, if the Kansas City were to get the draft again, Saturday is probably the day to go.

But it did seem like Thursday, Friday was a little bit more fun if you are without children.

Well, you know, and this is a pet peeve of mine.

And that was especially obvious to me when it was happening in my home city.

And I could see what was going on around them.

I'm really kind of peeved at how they handle the last couple of rounds of the draft on TV.
