Hi, this is Monica Packer from About Progress, and you're listening to The Messy Middle,

0:10.4

a monthly series where I share some of my own messy middle, so you can see what progress looks

0:15.2

like for a real woman in real time. Welcome to February.

0:21.9

I always begin this segment by sharing what's happening in the Packer household.

0:26.5

January was a little rough.

0:28.3

And when I say a little, I mean a lot.

0:30.7

I don't typically feel the January dreads that a lot of people do, but I definitely did

0:36.3

this month.

0:37.4

It started with, you know,

1:09.6

right? Like you're like, yay, we're

1:10.8

1:30.2

1:30.2

Just made you feel like junk and then turned into a cough and, you know, all that stuff. I think a lot of

1:34.6

people have gotten pneumonia from it and sinus infections after like things like that. So I feel

1:40.3

lucky that none of us experienced that, especially after one of my kids got pneumonia this fall.

1:44.8

I know how hard that is.

1:46.5

We did a room switch this month.
