Summary

In a conversation that originally aired on my private podcast feed, I spoke with my podcast manager, Taylor, about our personal experiences with multi-level marketing (MLM) companies. We delved into the icky factor of being approached by acquaintances with business propositions and the wider implications of these ventures. While these experiences did provide some social benefits and occasional income, they also left a cringey aftertaste. Despite the mixed feelings, I don't regret my forays into MLMs. They taught me a lot about sales, personal value, and authenticity. I've grown since then, understanding the importance of being true to myself and my audience. If you're curious to learn more about this subject make sure to check out my most recent deep dive! 0:22.4

convos between my podcast manager Taylor and I, and then we alternate a couple others,

0:26.8

Marriage Movie Club, The Deep Dive, and Working on Things. I truly love doing this special

0:31.8

podcast. It's something that I invest a lot of time and thought on. It's never thrown together,

0:36.4

and it always is indeed more

0:38.3

personal. You can get access to more personal by signing up as a bestie or ride or die member

0:44.6

of the Supporters Club at Aboutprogress.com. Support. And a quick update on that. We do need more

0:50.4

support in order for the show to continue. I have a whole episode on that in January of

0:55.8

24 where I share where the podcast is at and why the Supporters Club is vital to our

1:00.6

continuation, and we are still in that position. Thanks to the Supporters Club, we've been able to

1:04.9

continue this work now well into 2025, but we are still at a crossroads where in order for the

1:10.5

podcast to be stable and to be

1:13.4

self-supportive, we have a lot more work to do. If this podcast matters to you, if you would miss it,

1:19.5

if it has added value in your life and help change things for you, I'd highly encourage you to sign up

1:24.4

as a supporter starting at $2 a month. If that's all you can afford,

1:28.1

just know that level is there for you. More Personal is reserved for the $5 and $7 a month

1:33.0

versions and it also gives you access to many more benefits. You can check it all out at

1:38.1

aboutprogress.com slash support. More personal is always ad free, but since this is

1:43.1

airing on my normal feed, there will be ads in this preview.

1:46.8

That preview is coming up after a quick break for our sponsors.
