Summary

Do you want to know the most pivotal piece of advice a therapist ever shared with me? As I was finally seeking treatment after struggling for years with my eating disorder I was told this: you will deal with this forever. And I was actually relieved! I explain further in the episode, along with our mental-health-therapist guest, on the ways to better cope with your mental health struggles. Kimberley Quinlan is a mother, business owner, therapist, and podcaster. She also, somewhat uniquely, self discloses the mental health struggles she has learned to live with. With a specialty in obsessive compulsive disorder and other anxiety disorders, Kimberley has a strong and soothing approach. Her motto is "It's a beautiful day to do hard things." There are 3 main things we want listeners to learn from this episode, but in addition to those concrete steps you will feel empowered and able. As we focus this month on being healthy, not getting healthy, you'll understand the strength and resilience you possess because of mental health struggles. Tune in for new and encouraging ways to help yourself, or to better support someone you love. About a few other things...
