Hello everyone and welcome to AOB, the show where we take you behind the scenes of a

0:06.8

hundred million pound property business. Now we take you behind the

0:11.3

scenes of a business but today I'm going to take you behind the scenes of a business, but today I'm going to take you behind the scenes of our lives in the business and what we actually do.

0:18.5

Rob this might be a short episode.

0:20.5

I've offered and wondered what you do Rob and today I'm going to find out.

0:24.4

Okay so let's dig into our roles on what we exactly do.

0:29.4

So Rob you used to have a title in the business, but at the moment you don't actually have an official title, I don't believe you're registered as a co-founder, but without a title, I think you need to start there and explain why you possibly don't have a title and then go into what your day, what your weeks look like currently, and then we can talk about what it used to look like as well because it was very different from how it used to look.

0:53.3

Yeah I've had various titles over the years.

0:55.9

I've called you a fair few things.

0:57.3

Yeah exactly.

0:58.7

I think the most recent publishable one is marketing director.

1:02.0

1:17.0

Maybe there was an unspoken like, oh, you take more of that area, I take more of this area,

1:20.5

but there was a lot of like trying to be fair, trying to be equitable and let's all get involved

1:24.8

in everything. And that was lovely, but completely inefficient. So then I think it gradually moved

1:29.3

away into having more defined areas. At some point you took the CEO title, which I think is actually really

1:34.9

helpful because then it's clear to us and clear to everyone else that ultimately there is one person

1:40.9

in charge here if it came down to it.

1:42.8

Yeah, it made complete sense for the business.

1:45.4

But even if I'd offered you the CEO Roll Rob

1:48.2

and said I'm going to do something else,

1:50.0

I don't think you would have taken it.
